SPECIAL THANKS TO The Ellen Jeanne Goldfarb Memorial Charitable Trust for supporting our 2024 Fall/Winter Musical.

DONATIONS AND SPONSORSHIPS:

Since our inception in 2006, we’ve had a dream. A dream to have to have a place to call our own. A dream to have our own little theatre. In 2016, after years of moving from venue rental to venue rental, we found a diamond in the rough.  We saw potential.  We had a vision.  We took a leap of faith.

In the spring of 2017, after many months of hard work, our dream came true with a debut performance on our own stage, in our own theatre!

Here we are in 2024, well into our 17th year, with countless productions, classes, camps and special events behind us. We’ve welcomed so many new members into our family along the way.

That leap of faith, eight years ago, has proven to be the best decision we have ever made for our organization.

We could not have come this far without the amazing support of our CFT family and we’ve only just begun!  In addition to the cost to operate, to maintain our facility and to run our programs, we are hoping to purchase  our own LED lighting equipment, which will reduce our electricity consumption tremendously.  Our income from tuition and ticket sales only covers approx. 55% of our expenses under normal circumstances.  Having our own facility brings in new and higher expenses as well.

Join our 2024-25 ANNUAL CAMPAIGN.  We need your support now more than ever to help keep our organization alive and well.

As CFT heads towards it’s 18th year (holy moly!) in November, we begin our annual appeal to raise funds for our Little Theatre That Could.  We have had our ups and we have had our downs but, through it all, we have survived.  Our beloved co-founder and friend, Michelle Warshaw, whom we lost in 2015, always said “If we make it to 10 years, we can call it a success”.  Well, here we are finishing our 17th year and we somehow manage work through the struggles, keep the faith and keep moving forward.  We know Michele is here in spirit telling us to keep believing in our mission and NEVER give up.

Since the lock downs in 2020 those struggles have multiplied. The effects are still hitting us today.  Expenses have soared for us all whether running a business or running a household.  Families are finding it harder and harder to enroll their children in activities, let alone donate to charities.  Our income from donor contributions has slowed dramatically.  We try to stay true to our mission to keep our tuition and ticket prices as affordable as possible so that families from all walks of life can enjoy our programming.  For that reason we have not raised our prices in over 7 years.  In order to meet today’s costs to maintain our facility, to produce shows and to run classes on earned revenue alone, we would have to double our prices.  Of course, we could never do that.  Today, ticket sales and tuition are only covering about 50% of our income.  It has become extremely difficult to cover expenses, meet obligations and stay afloat.  This year, so far, has been particularly tough. This is why support from the community is so important.  Each year CFT is faced with the task of running an appeal raising funds to bridge that gap and to maintain non-profit status. We cannot survive without the generosity of people like you who believe in the importance of the arts.  You don’t have to give a sizeable gift.  Of course, that helps tremendously but please know that ANY donation amount helps!

The skills that children learn at CFT will be carried with them for life. Watching them all work so hard, learn so much and grow and blossom as performers makes it all worthwhile.  We have witnessed so many of them leave CFT, spread their wings, follow their passions and become amazing, successful young adults.  YOU can be a part of their journey!  YOU can help us enter into our 18th year #CFTstrong!
