Theatre 101 – Make your entrance!

Ages 9 & up

Mondays 5:30-7:00pm 

September 16-November 25, 2024 (Registration open until September 23)

No Classes On:  10/14/24

$250 / 10 Classes

Open enrollment.  No prerequisite required.

An introduction to acting for students 9 & up.  Through theatre games, skill development exercises and audition training, our students will begin their theatrical journey at CFT. 

Session ends with an in-class share for family.

Music Theatre Prep – Continue your theatrical training!

Ages 9 & up

Thursdays 5:30-7:30pm 

September 19-November 21, 2024 (Registration open until November 26)

$300 / 10 Classes

*Prerequisite:  Theatre 101 (or equivalent).  Students can also audition into this class.

Take the next step and sharpen your “triple threat” skills.

Students rehearse and perform One Hour versions of popular Broadway musicals!

*Students who complete ACT ONE and ACT TWO can then audition into CFT’s ON WITH THE SHOW Music Theatre Intensive!

CFT’s Music Theatre Intensive and Mainstage Performance

Ages 12 -18 *Please note that we have changed the age requirement.  This does not apply to younger students who have already been accepted into the program.  New students younger than 12 may be accepted (by audition only).

Fall Mainstage Musical:  TBA

Rehearsals:  Wednesdays 6-9:00pm & Saturdays 3:30-7:30pm (two Sunday rehearsals as well).  Full schedule will be handed out at auditions.

Preparation:  One minute monologue and approx. 24 bars of song that shows vocal strength and range.

Call Back Auditions:   Saturday, September 21, 2024 3:30-8:00pm (Mandatory attendance.  Students stay for entirety.)

First Rehearsal:  Wednesday, October 2, 2024

No Rehearsals held:  11/30/24, 12/25/24, 12/28/24, 1/1/25

*PLEASE NOTE:  There will be two Sunday rehearsals on the schedule.  Full production schedule handed out at auditions.

Tech Rehearsals:   January 6-9, 2025

Final Dress:   January 9, 2025

Pick-Up Rehearsal:   January 15, 2025

Performances:   January 10, 11, 12, 17, 18 & 19, 2025

Entrance by AUDITION ONLY.  Prerequisite ACT ONE and ACT TWO (or equivalent experience).  Students who were previously accepted into the program need not do an entrance audition but are still required to prepare for an audition for educational/casting purposes.

$475.00  / 12 Weeks, 2 rehearsal per week, one week of tech rehearsals, 6 performances.

Support the program!  Each student/family is encouraged to sell 10 tickets and purchase or sell one business size ad.

Please note:  There is a $50 *non-refundable audition fee/deposit included in tuition.  Deposit only option is for NEW STUDENTS ONLY.  Returning students should choose the pay in full option.   Audition fee/deposit must be received by new students to hold a spot in the program pending acceptance.  If accepted into the MT Intensive program, the balance of $425 is due. *If a student is not accepted into the program, you can use the deposit as a credit towards an alternative class.  A student will not be cast in the production unless fully registered (total tuition paid).  Returning students already accepted into program choose pay in full option only.

CFT’s most popular program!  From audition to the final curtain call and all that happens in between, students continue to stretch their performance muscles and hone their skills while rehearsing for a CFT mainstage musical!   Set in a safe and supportive environment, students are encouraged to take risks, step beyond their comfort level to continue to discover their capabilities as performers.  Students have the opportunity to work with professional directors, technicians and designers and experience the ins and outs of a high-quality, professional production.  

Session ends with a two week run!
